A father and a husband died today. I read this article about him that my friend posted on facebook. I never met, or even saw Steve Jobs, in all the times I’ve been on Apple campus. I’m deeply saddened by his death. I’ve always wondered about him, about his life apart from Apple. That article affirms the hopes that I had for him. That he had a family that he loved, that his life wasn’t just about creating a product.
Things will never be the same. I don’t mean to be dramatic, but the man saw things differently, he pushed the boundaries of what we view as normal, and he had an unyielding commitment to excellence. I’m glad he’s not suffering anymore. I pray that God blesses his family.
