Tribute to JJ and Andy

23 May, 2010  |  10:21AM

I love Andy Warhol’s work, and JJ Abrams creativity (and craziness) blows my mind. I came up with this idea a while back, didn’t do anything with it for a really long time, and then rushed to get it done by today! In order to be faithful to Warhol’s work, I knew I had to screen print these, which I’ve never screened onto paper, I’ve never used water based inks, and I’ve only screened shirts twice. This was a really fun and challenging project (I never want to print two colors with a one color press ever again).

And now for the good part, you can win these! I’m giving these away, just comment below and I’ll pick the best ones. One poster will be given to the person that comes up with the best story about the Dharma shark. Two posters will go to the person with the best “My friend would love one of these!” that isn’t “My friend is completely obsessed with Lost OMG!”

Here are the facts: 2 color screen print, 12″ x 18″ untrimmed, limited edition of 40, hand numbered, French Paper Smart White, comment by 5.30.2010 at 9:00pm PST.

Update: My good friend Narineh is giving away a couple of my posters. Enter her poster contest!

My city by the bay

13 May, 2010  |  6:37PM

I haven’t lived in the bay area for almost five years now, but San Francisco still has that special something. I really enjoyed my time working in the city, and I generally enjoy the times that I’m back to visit. I even enjoy driving in the city, there’s that thrill and adrenaline rush that only comes with fairly skilled drivers driving recklessly combined with semi-skilled drivers that have no idea where they’re going. Here are a few pictures from a while back. Enjoy!
